Crane Technician

Scale and Control Inc., based in Cypress, TX., has an opening for a Crane Technician. The principals of SCI have a combined tenure of 50 years in the crane load instrumentation business.
The core job function is the installation and troubleshooting of crane LMI’s and wheel loader scales for customers throughout North America.

The core job function is the installation and troubleshooting of crane LMI’s and wheel loader scales for customers throughout North America.
Key skills and experience required:
- 3-5 years experience with the installation and troubleshooting of crane load indicators, load moment indicators on mobile hydraulic and lattice boom cranes
- Competency with electrical wiring of instrumentation to the crane electrical system
- Knowledge of interfacing LMI’s to crane function lockout valves would be an asset
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Abilty to effectively manage scheduling, installations and travel
- Effective customer service skills are a must
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Working capability with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Valid drivers license and a valid passport are required
